HEADING SOUTH INTO OREGON

Astoria Bridge: If you're looking for an extended drive, then you might want drive south on Highway 101 and explore Oregon. You'll start by crossing the Astoria Bridge where you enter Oregon. In Astoria, you'll want to visit the Astoria Column. Other nearby attractions include Fort Stevens, and Battery Russel.




Lewis & Clark Fort Clatsop
Just west of Astoria you'll find Fort Clatsop National Memorial Park. This is a replication of Lewis and Clark's original Fort Clatsop, where they spent the winter at this location.

Seaside
Continuing south from Astoria, you arrive in Seaside, you'll want to visit the downtown area. You'll find an aquarium and many shops, several featuring a large selection of salt water taffy.

Along Highway 101
As you travel between Astoria and Tillamook, be sure to stop and enjoy the many viewpoints.

Tillamook Cheeese Factory
A visit to the Tillamook Cheese Factory is always in order. Once inside, you have the choice of visiting the gift shop, taking a short tour, and buying an ice cream cone.
